Microdermabrasion Exfoliation

Microdermabrasion Exfoliation

Rejuvenation for Softer, Brighter Skin

Microdermabrasion exfoliation and skin rejuvenation procedure leaves skin looking softer and brighter. In addition, microdermabrasion is a good candidate for more frequent treatments if your skin tolerates it.

Many people choose to start with weekly treatments for three sessions, then change to a monthly maintenance regimen. During this process, Microdermabrasion removes the dead and dull surface layers of the skin. In addition, it stimulates an increase in collagen production and rejuvenation.

How does Microdermabrasion Exfoliation Work?

Microdermabrasion exfoliation uses tiny exfoliating crystals that are sprayed on the skin. It works best on problems such as dull skin, brown spots, and age spots. In addition, it works on all skin types and colors. It makes subtle changes, causing no skin color change or scarring.

Many clients see dramatic improvements in the tone, texture, and colour of treated areas after just one treatment. There is minimal downtime and you can return to work as soon as your treatment is complete.

What Microdermabrasion Can Do for Your Skin

Because it deeply exfoliates, microdermabrasion will improve the tone and texture of your skin. As a result, even after just one treatment, you’ll notice your skin feels smoother. Similarly, your complexion looks brighter and healthier.
As you complete a series of treatments, you notice skin tone becoming evener. In addition, you may even see a softening of fine lines and superficial wrinkles. Microdermabrasion can also help fight sun damage.
Although microdermabrasion isn’t recommended for those with severe or inflammatory acne, a series of treatments can help improve mild acne. It can also help reduce oiliness and make large pores appear smaller. For example, with some people, microdermabrasion can help lighten post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or those dark acne marks left after a pimple has healed.

What It Cannot Do for Your Skin

Microdermabrasion isn’t a miracle treatment, though, so there are certain things it just can’t do for your skin.
First, know that microdermabrasion can’t treat severe acne. The tiny crystals spray during microdermabrasion may irritate already inflamed acne, and leave it looking and feeling worse. Also, microdermabrasion won’t improve acne scars or flatten hypertrophic or keloid scars. In fact, it can actually make them worse. Instead of microdermabrasion, your dermatologist can perform acne scar treatments that will give better results.
If you’re using microdermabrasion as an anti-aging treatment, know that it will not completely eliminate lines and wrinkles. Also, it won’t treat deep wrinkles. Another thing microdermabrasion can’t do is tighten sagging skin.

In conclusion, microdermabrasion is also a great adjunct therapy for the bespoke facial. Simply ask your consultant to add it.
