Dermal Fillers – The non-surgical approach to anti-ageing

Dermal fillers are a non-surgical approach to anti-ageing. When applied, they temporarily smooth deeper lines and wrinkles by restoring volume to the skin. As a result, this renowned cosmetic treatment rejuvenates skin with an injection of hyaluronic acid. This powerful, natural moisture is retained in the skin.

Auckland’s Dermal Filler Specialists, Luxe Appearance uses the highest quality Juvéderm® products for dermal filler treatments. These include Juvéderm XC, Juvéderm Ultra XC, Juvéderm Voluma XC, and Juvéderm Volbella XC fillers. For example, they treat specific areas of the face by plumping, lifting and diminishing deep lines and stubborn wrinkles.

How do dermal fillers work?

Dermal fillers physically sculpt the face, enhancing natural contours, and reducing folds and wrinkles. Therefore, the filler is injected into the deeper layers of skin, instantly reducing the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles. Targeting precise points in the face restores volume and reduces skin creases and folds that make us look tired. Subsequently, dermal fillers work over a period of two weeks to improve skin and tissue hydration. This results in a more youthful appearance that lasts several months.

What is the process like?

We thoroughly assess your medical history. This ensures you are the right candidate for dermal fillers. Next, treatment outcomes are carefully discussed. During your initial free consultation, the potential side effects are explained by a Luxe Appearance professional. At this time, ask as many questions as you like. With the help of a registered nurse, also create a customised plan for your desired outcome.

Procedures last around 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your treatment plan. A local anaesthetic ensures the process is painless and comfortable. Of course, experiences differ with each client. However, our team of doctors and nurses are highly qualified and do their utmost to ensure yours is as pleasant as possible.

Slight swelling or bruising may occur after treatment, however, this usually fades within a few days and can be hidden with concealer.

Dermal fillers for lip enhancement

Lips are in an important part of our overall facial appearance and are often a focus for young and older. Dermal Fillers for Lip Enhancement hydrate,  plump and can be used to reshape the lips, with results lasting between six to nine months. This helps enhance the aesthetic appearance of the face and enrich your overall look.   Often the media portrays an overdone look which can scare some people away who would prefer to have a more natural look.   A natural look comes from the artistic ability of the injector and the amount that is injected.  At Luxe Appearance, we aim to provide a more natural look, also providing clients with the look that they want.

Luxe Appearance uses different Dermal Fillers to create customised looks.  It may be hydration and lip lines that bother you, in this case we use products Juvederm Ultra and Boletero Balance.  If you are after some volume, hydration and lines, we used Juvederm Ultra, Ultra Plus, and Boletero Intense.  It may be poochiness that you’re after, in this case we may use the same as above, but more.

Dermal fillers for cheek enhancement

As we age, the production of collagen in our skin slows and the youthful firmness of our skin deteriorates, causing the cheeks to sag. However, volume-enhancing dermal fillers target the deep tissue of the cheeks. As a result, it makes them look higher, plumper and more youthful. Higher cheeks reduce the presence of deep wrinkles in the lower half of the face, resulting in the overall rejuvenation of your facial appearance.

Dermal fillers for reducing facial sagg

Treatment of sagginess traditionally required a surgical facelift, which has a significant amount of downtime and potential for scars. With the development of new technology, improving sagginess can be done with long duration injectables. Addressing the attribute of sagginess in the face with injectables enhances positive attributes such as looking younger, more feminine and slimmer.

JUVEDERM® is a prescription medicine containing hyaluronic acid for injection. It is used for the treatment of specific areas of the face by plumping, lifting and diminishing deep lines and stubborn wrinkles. It should be administered only by trained medical professionals.
